Catching Up With Aditi Malhotra

aditi

We sat down with pastry chef and proud owner of New York’s Tache Artisan Chocolate, Aditi Malhotra! She is an incredible young woman who was selected as one of Forbes 30 under 30 game changers in Food & Wine and has also been featured in top publications like The New York Times, Business Insider, InStyle Magazine, and more. Aditi started Tache Artisan Chocolate back in 2012 and it has quickly become a hot date night spot. It offers a unique chocolate making experience- the perfect opportunity to make custom chocolate gifts for friends and family! You can take a lesson in their chocolate factory and make popular treats like chocolate mustache lollipops, caramel kisses, chocolate bars, mendients, grignotines, and more. They also offer wine pairings, high teas, and fondues.Tache Artisan Chocolate is located at 254 Broome St, New York, NY and you can check out their website here.

We asked Aditi to share some of her favorite date night spots in the city and she wrote up this excellent list of recommendations. Check out Aditi’s post below and don’t forget to check out Tache Chocolate on the Lower East Side!

After a couple of snowy weekends- no need to stay indoors anymore. Get outside and indulge with some of these fresh new date ideas!

Thai Food With a Twist11222574_1685129495036418_3887169865497404359_n

Lucky Bee is a brand new farm-to-table approach to Thai street food that you are not going to want to miss! Spicy, seasonal, sustainable, grass fed meat, grass roots, and grass skirts is what is going on in this lively decorated restaurant on the Lower East Side.

They’re introducing some new flavors that you might have never had together like their mouth-watering crisp pork belly with palm sugar caramel and chili vinegar, oysters with nahm jam chili, and salt-and-pepper chicken wings.

Don’t leave without trying some of their equally delicious cocktails. Their cocktail list features drinks made with honey and a dollar of each drink sold goes to the NYC Beekeepers Association.

Kailash Parbhat is NYC’s best and most authentic Indian street style food! You don’t need a passport to get away. Get transported to a Mumbai street corner while visiting this Murray Hill neighborhood gem.

Served family style, which means that you can order the whole menu and share! The menu is fully vegetarian- some of my favorites include Vada Pav (spicy potato fritters in a bun, sold outside railway stations across Mumbai), delicious Bhel Puri (a savory snack dish made from puffed rice and salad with tamarind sauce), Pani Puri (deep-fried hollow balls of puffed bread filled with tamarind water, chickpeas and spiced mashed potato) and their famous Veg 65 (a not to miss appetizer, made with mixed vegetables and flavored with vinegar, chili and soy sauce). An incredible mixture of Indian and Chinese flavors!
